ABOUT We Call Her Benny
We Call Her Benny features a dynamic 10-actor ensemble and bold theatrical techniques to create a visceral, exhilarating and kaleidoscopic portrait of one adopted woman’s struggle for identity and intimacy. Themes of replacement and betrayal saturate the play, which explores family, identity, illness, adoption, sexuality and intimacy.
Before its current run at The Michael Weller Theatre, We Call Her Benny was first presented as an hour-long original piece as part of the first-ever FRIGID New York Festival: www.FRIGIDnewyork.info.
